Project THRIVE

Discover Project THRIVE:
Transforming Lives in Bucks County

At Greater Refuge Tabernacle Ministries International, our Project THRIVE is a beacon of hope for youth aged 12–26 facing the challenges of opioid addiction and homelessness. Launched with support from the Bucks County Drug and Alcohol Commission (BCDAC) through the Bucks County Opioid Settlement Funds, THRIVE delivers targeted prevention, early intervention, and comprehensive support to empower at-risk and culturally diverse youth in Levittown and beyond. THRIVE welcomes everyone—you don’t need to be a substance user or know one to participate. By equipping our community with vital knowledge, we create a well-informed populace that uplifts all of Levittown.

What is Project THRIVE?

THRIVE tackles the intertwined crises of opioid use and youth homelessness through:

  • Prevention Workshops: Monthly hybrid sessions (in-person at 7230 New Falls Rd, Levittown, and online) teach trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and overdose prevention, tailored for diverse communities.

  • Housing Support: Case management and a resource database connect youth to safe housing options, from emergency shelters to transitional homes.

  • Community Partnerships: Collaborations with local schools, shelters, and mental health providers ensure holistic support.

  • Youth-Led Initiatives: Peer-driven programs build resilience and empower young people to take charge of their futures.

Why Join THRIVE?

With over 20 years of serving Levittown, GRT is committed to creating a healthier, more equitable community. THRIVE aims to serve 50–75 youth directly, helping them overcome substance use risks (homeless youth are 3x more likely to use drugs) and achieve stable housing. Expect inspiring workshops, meaningful connections, and practical resources to thrive in faith and life.
